Here is a big Happy Birthday to Bryan our son-in-law. I wanted to just tell him and all of you how much we enjoy him in our family. Bryan met Lynae through a blind date. If you remember right Ky met Jen through a blind date. Anyway Bryan was at Utah State finishing up his degree and a mutual friend introduced them and said they should get together. They had talked on the phone and maybe e-mailed each other a few times before the actually had a first date. Their first date was in December and we were having a December snow storm. Bryan was coming from Logan so he had snow all the way. He was late because of the storm and we were anxious to just see who this fellow was. When Bryan came in the house we were all shocked at how tall he is. He is 6'7" and had reddish brown hair and a very red beard and mustache. We knew at least he was tall enough for Lynae. We really took to Bryan as he was a farm boy from a farming community in Emery county. He and Whitt hit it off right from the start. We really didn't get to know much about him as we only saw him a couple of times before he headed across the big Atlantic Ocean to England to work on his masters. Bryan and Lynae talked via e-mail for the next 6 months. When Lynae wasn't at work she was sitting at the computer for hours. Her dad encouraged her to go visit Bryan in England and see how things would work out. She went in May and Bryan came home in June. He came to Salt Lake whenever he could get a chance in between helping his dad with the farm work and driving truck loads of hay from Logan.

We decided to all go to the Days of 47 Rodeo in July and we all went but Alesha. We had a great time and that was fun to have Bryan with us. He wore his cowboy hat and really fit the part. I kept wondering when they were going to tell us that they were getting married but no one was saying anything. One day in the mail came a letter from the Jordan River Temple then I knew something was up. Still no one would tell me anything but I had my own thoughts. In Aug. Bryan finally popped the question in Oak City of all places. We had had a big family reunion there for the Steele side of the family and Lynae, Bryan, Alesha and Whitt had gone to Oak City for the Oak City celebration dance. Bryan was pretty sneaky as he did it in the dark and when he opened the ring case it had a light in it. Boy was Lynae excited and of course so were we.

They were married Novemeber 9 2002 in the Jordan River Temple. They made their home in Logan for a couple of months they headed off for Zanesville, Ohio. It was really hard to have them gone so far away but it was a great experience for them. They made many good friends and also established themselves as a family. They bought a little house and it was so cute. They did a lot of the work themselves. They tore our carpet and found hardwood floors they also stripped wall paper and painted. They only lived in this little home for a few months when they decided to move back to Utah. We were happy to have them moving home but felt bad that they would be leaving this cute little home.

Whitley Lynae was born April 20, 2004 here is Salt Lake and she was the spitting image of her dad. Boy was Bryan a proud dad. He is so cute with all his girls but it was fun to have them here close to watch him with this very first one. Bryan had always wanted to move back to the country so after much talking he convinced Lynae that she could live in the country too. They moved to Price in July of 2004 and lived there until they built their new home in Cleveland and moved in April 2008. Bryan did a lot of the work himself and the home is beautiful and will be a great place for them to raise their family and have visitors come. Bryan has learned to do a lot of things and he isn't afraid to try anything. He is a perfectionist at all he does and takes pride in his work. He has his own business doing security and he is very good at that as well.

We are so proud to have you as part of our family. You fit right in. We enjoy your company when ever you come and we always feel welcome at your home. We wish you the best birthday have a great day and we will go out to dinner on Thursday when you come up Love ya Bryan.
